PALM BEACH GARDENS — A new construction project at Downtown Palm Beach Gardens means people won't just be shopping or dining at the 49.4-acre town center.

They'll be living there. 

New plans for Downtown include a 174-room hotel, 280 apartments and an eight-floor parking garage that would stand next to the existing parking garage on the site of the existing Cheesecake Factory restaurant.

Love green markets? A new beachside farmers market in Jupiter is serving up wellness products & local fare

Jupiter welcomed a new beachside green market a few weeks ago, and it’s powered by some mighty inspiration.

JoJo’s Farmers Market, at Carlin Park, is the brainchild of 23-year-old Riley Burns, whose devotion to wellness and sustainability led her to create the monthly market. 

She named the Saturday market after her late mother, Joanne (JoJo), who died of lung cancer in 2006 and inspired her to explore preventive medicine and healing practices.

“She died when I was very young, so I’m big on preventive care. I thought this market could be the perfect ode to my mother,” says Burns, a fitness studio manager based in Fort Lauderdale.

Ever wonder what’s off the trail at Acreage Pines Natural Area?

Come slog through the wetlands with ERM staff and see what wonders are hiding off the beaten path.  This will be a 1.5 mile hike with knee deep water in some locations, so you may want to bring a towel and some dry clothes/shoes for after the hike.  

We will provide water and hiking sticks. Please bring a reusable water-bottle along with bug spray, sunscreen and a dry bag. We recommend wearing long pants and closed-toed shoes. Restrooms are nearby in the adjacent Acreage Community Park.

Masks are not required for fully vaccinated participants (2 weeks after 2nd shot, or 2 weeks after J&J shot) and are required for unvaccinated when unable to maintain social distancing.
