Enjoy Jupiter Lighthouse Events in May

Survey the view from above by taking a tour of the Jupiter Lighthouse!

Self-guided tours of the lighthouse and grounds are available from Tuesday through Sunday during regular operating hours of 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Docent-guided tours happen on Tuesday through Friday beginning at 12:30 p.m. and 2 p.m.

Need more action? Sign up for a Sunset Tour, a Moonrise Tour or children's Story Time. Sunset Tours are available each Tuesday evening. Moonrise Tours happen once a month, on the full moon. Likewise, Story Time is once each month on a Friday morning. Read further for more details.

Jupiter Lighthouse Sunset Tour


May 18 @ 7:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Climb 105 steps and take in the spectacular sunset views atop the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse. Tour time approximately 60 minutes, guests must check-in 15 minutes prior to tour. Tours are weather permitting.  In the event of rain, the tour will be rescheduled. Children must be at least 48” tall to climb the Lighthouse and accompanied by an adult. Face masks are recommended indoors at check-in. Enjoy a special treat…You’ll be hungry after that climb! All paid attendees to the Sunset Tour will receive a free Tommy Bahama voucher good for a signature appetizer, drink or dessert at their Harbourside Jupiter restaurant. Vouchers will be handed out at the admissions desk during your Sunset Tour check-in only and are not redeemable for cash.

Jupiter Lighthouse Moonrise Tour


May 17 @ 7:45 pm - 8:45 pm

A howling good time and spectacular evening view of a full moon from the top of the Lighthouse! This adventure makes a fabulous date night too.  – purchase online. Tour time approximately 60 minutes, guests must check-in 15 minutes prior to tour. Tours are limited. Tours are weather permitting. In the event of rain, the tour will be rescheduled. Children must be accompanied by an adult and be at least 48” tall to climb the Lighthouse.

Jupiter Lighthouse Story Time and Crafts for Kids

May 21 @ 10:30 am - 11:00 am

In-Person Program!Join us outdoors under the shade of our Seminole Chickee Hut as we read exciting stories about lighthouse keepers, Florida history, and local plants & animals! This program is ideal for children aged 8 and under. Children receive a fun take-home craft activity, too!

What To Bring:Please bring a small towel or mat for your child, as well as a bottle of water! Please arrive 10 minutes prior for check-in. Gate closes/no admission after 10:40am.

Registration:This program is free & runs approximately 30 minutes. Story Story Time will be cancelled if there is inclement weather OR high heat. Space is very limited.  RSVP is required onlineby the Friday before program date.

Operated by the nonprofit Loxahatchee River Historical Society, the waterfront lighthouse, museum and grounds exhibits feature over 5,000 years of regional history.

In addition to offering climbing tours of the landmark 1860 lighthouse, we are the proud site of the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse Outstanding Natural Area, National Conservation Lands.
