Since 2003, The Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches (formerly known as Honda Classic) has been attracting top PGA TOUR talent to the area, offering a week of entertainment and providing one of the premier fan experiences. The tournament showcases a field of 144 players competing for a $7 million purse, with proceeds benefiting the locally based Children’s Healthcare Charity.

Since 2007, the PGA National Golf Club in Palm Beach Gardens has hosted this PGA tournament annually. The club comprises five sophisticated 18-hole courses, with The Honda Classic exclusively played on the distinguished Champion Course. Renowned for its challenging layout, "The Bear Trap," a three-hole stretch designed by golf legend Jack Nicklaus, is a highlight of the course's redesign in 2014.
