Palm Beach Shakespeare Festival

The Palm Beach Shakespeare Festival will celebrate 32 years of its annual tradition this summer

with a live performance of William Shakespeare's Richard II.

Grab your blankets, beach chairs, picnic baskets (or enjoy the food truck concessions) and head on over!

Shakespeare by the Sea is NOT a ticketed event.  This event is presented free of charge to everyone, with a suggested $5 donation made to the “Wishing Will” on site, or via mobile app. 

For both locations, gates open at 6:30 pm with performances starting at 8 pm.

The Ben boutique hotel debuted on the downtown West Palm Beach waterfront Thursday, Feb. 13, bringing a novel range of food-and-drink offerings.

But before you settle in for a cocktail at the city’s only waterfront-facing rooftop bar, you should know this modern hotel is steeped in local history and professes an affinity for adventurous stories, most of them true. The hotel, which opened Thursday, Feb. 13, takes its name from an 1892 Victorian-style estate known as the Ben Trovato, an Italian phrase that translates loosely to “happily invented.” Perched on the shores of Lake Worth, it was home to pioneer-era author Byrd Spilman Dewey.

Todd McDermott reports "A full year of pandemic altered work is now transforming part of Palm Beach County's economy. More than one very successful business owner from the financial world escaped Covid-19 related restrictions by coming to Palm Beach County. And they're not going back.

Doug Cifu, CEO of Virtu Financial, says the pandemic has made it very clear his equities market firm can operate from anywhere. He told WPBF 25, "I see no reason why a hedge fund or private equity firm should stay in New York. It just makes no sense to me whatsoever."
